(15α) -15,26-Dihydroxylanosta-7,9 (11),24-trien-3-one inhibits the growth of the ventral prostate induced by testosterone in rat. (15α) -15,26-Dihydroxylanosta-7,9 (11),24-trien-3-one is promising for research of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as well as other 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) -related disorders, such as acne and male pattern baldness[1].
