Difluoromethyl 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether is an intermediate of Isoflurane. Isoflurane is a volatile general anaesthetic used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. Isoflurane binds to and enhances GABAA receptor. Isoflurane inhibits electron transfer in respiratory complex I.
