ART4/CD297 Protein , a protein that contains a mono-ADP-ribosylation (ART) motif, is involved in peptidyl-arginine ADP-ribosylation. It is a member of the ADP-ribosyltransferase gene family. ART4 is expressed in several structures, including cardiovascular system, genitourinary system, integumental system, liver; and sensory organ. In addition, ART4 plays an important role in erythrocyte invasion by P. falciparum.
