AtSAL1-IN-1 (compound V20) is a competitive inhibitor of AtSAL1. AtSAL1-IN-1 elevates the levels of 3’-phosphoadenosine 5’-phosphate (PAP), activates stress-responsive genes and improves oxidative stress tolerance in Arabidopsis. AtSAL1-IN-1 can be used for study of chloroplast-mediated cellular signaling pathways[1].
