HydB is an important component of the bifunctional enzyme complex and is a NADPH-dependent hydrogen-evolving hydrogenase with sulfur reducing activity. It contributes to the hydrogen cycle during fermentative growth, with the beta and gamma subunits catalyzing the cytoplasmic production of hydrogen sulfide from elemental sulfur. hydB Protein, Pyrococcus furiosus (His) is the recombinant hydB protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
