NP-CGG is a protein-hapten complex. In NP-CGG, NP is a hapten that can be recognized by antibodies on the surface of B cells; CGG is a carrier protein with T-cell epitopes, which can be recognized by T cells. NP-CGG can induce a strong, T-cell-dependent (TD) immune response in the mouse's immune system against the hapten NP. NP-CGG can be used to study secondary immune responses, antibody affinity maturation, plasma cell differentiation, and long-lived humoral immunity[1]<.
