IL-15R alpha Protein, a proven high-affinity receptor for interleukin-15, signals in both cis and trans. In neutrophils, it activates SYK kinase, crucial for IL-15-induced phagocytosis in a SYK-dependent manner. Different isoforms may introduce variations in signal transduction. Notably, IL-15R alpha Protein, while having high affinity, does not directly bind to IL15.
