The PPIH protein is a peptidyl prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) that catalyzes the isomerization of prolyl imide peptide bonds and may contribute to protein folding. It plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing and contributes to the formation of the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP complex in spliceosome assembly.
