Spongionellol A is a MDR1 (p-glycoprotein) inhibitor. Spongionellol A has high cytotoxic activity and selectivity in prostate cancer cells by inducing caspase‑dependent apoptosis. Spongionellol A can be used in the research of cancers, such as prostate cancer[1].
