Description
The AKT2 protein is a serine/threonine protein kinase in the AKT family that is critical for metabolism, proliferation, survival, growth, and angiogenesis. It phosphorylates more than 100 substrates, coordinates insulin-induced SLC2A4/GLUT4 translocation, affects glucose uptake, and controls glycogen storage.
