DSPE-PEG4-NHS ester
DSPE-PEG4-NHS ester is a certified lipid-PEG conjugation reagent supplied by Quantimol for laboratory and scientific research.
This compound is a phospholipid-PEG derivative featuring an NHS (N-hydroxysuccinimide) ester reactive group. It is widely used to form PEGylated micelles and liposomal nanoparticles for drug delivery applications. The NHS ester reacts selectively with primary amines (e.g. lysine residues, amine-functionalised molecules) to form stable amide bonds, enabling bioconjugation of proteins, peptides, antibodies, and small molecules to lipid nanoparticle surfaces.
Key properties:
- Compound class: Lipid-PEG / NHS ester conjugation reagent
- Reactive group: NHS ester (amine-reactive)
- PEG chain: PEG4 (tetraethylene glycol)
- Lipid anchor: DSPE (distearoylphosphoethanolamine)
- Purity: ≥95% (HPLC)
- Storage: -20°C, protected from moisture
- Solubility: DMSO, chloroform, or DMF (recommended)
Applications: Lipid nanoparticle (LNP) surface functionalisation, PEGylated liposome preparation, antibody-lipid conjugation, drug delivery research, bioconjugation chemistry.
Supplied by Quantimol as a certified reference standard for research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
