TRAILR4/TNFRSF10D Protein , a receptor for TRAIL. Paradoxically, it not only fails to induce apoptosis but also protects against TRAIL-mediated apoptosis. Conflicting reports exist about its role in activating the NF-kappa-B pathway. The dual nature of TRAILR4 in interacting with TRAIL, both as a receptor and a protective factor, highlights the complexity of its regulatory functions in cellular responses to TRAIL signaling.
