Sucrosofate (Sucrose octasulfate) potassium is a sucrose acid that can be used to prepare liposomes to deliver Irinotecan. Irinotecan is an inhibitor of topoisomerase Topo I and is commonly used in colon and rectal cancer research. Sucrosofate nanoliposome preparation loaded with Irinotecan, also known as PEP02 or MM-398[1][2].
